β’ Β Β Valsartan: Blocks angiotensin II receptors β vasodilation, reduced aldosterone secretion, decreased sodium retention.
β’ Β Β Amlodipine: Calcium channel blocker β inhibits calcium ion influx into vascular smooth muscle β vasodilation.
β’ Β Β Hydrochlorothiazide: Thiazide diuretic β inhibits NaβΊ/Clβ» reabsorption in the distal tubules β increases sodium and water excretion β reduces blood volume and pressure.

1. Β Β Pregnancy Risk: Avoid during 2nd and 3rd trimestersβmay cause fetal kidney failure, oligohydramnios, and skeletal malformations.
