Generic Name:

Used For:
 Prevention and treatment of all types of iron deficiencies, especially:
o Iron deficiency anaemia
How It Works:
 Ferosoft contains Iron (III) hydroxide polymaltose complex (IPC), a non-ionic iron
preparation.
 It allows controlled absorption of iron in the intestine.
 Replenishes depleted iron stores and supports hemoglobin production.
 Unlike traditional iron salts, it has better gastrointestinal tolerance and minimal
interactions.

Usage and Safety
Dosage:
 Iron (III) hydroxide polymaltose complex 50mg per 5mL
 Dosage should be determined by a physician depending on age, severity of deficiency,

o Feeling of fullness

Precautions:
 Do not use oral and injectable iron simultaneously
 Start oral iron at least 1 week after the last injection
 Iron absorption is enhanced with food
Warnings:
Warning 1:
People with Type 2 diabetes should consult their doctor before using iron supplements due to
possible cardiovascular risks.
Warning 2:
In conditions like hemoglobinopathies, iron supplementation may cause iron overload. Use
only under medical supervision.
