How it works:
Hepa Merz contains a stable combination of L-Ornithine and L-Aspartate.
 L-Ornithine is part of the urea cycle that converts toxic ammonia into non-toxic urea,
which is eliminated via the kidneys, supporting detoxification and helping the liver
function normally. This lowers elevated ammonia levels in the blood
(hyperammonaemia), common in liver diseases.
 L-Aspartate is part of the citric acid cycle, helping produce energy (ATP) and aiding in
liver cell regeneration.

 Dosage: L-Ornithine, L-Aspartate (as prescribed)

Indication:
Used for:
 Acute hepatitis (viral, non-viral, drug-induced)
 Chronic hepatitis (with or without hyperammonaemia)
 Cirrhosis of the liver
 Fatty liver with hyperammonaemia
 Hepatic encephalopathy
 Adjuvant therapy with hepatotoxic drugs
When not to Use:
Hypersensitivity to any ingredients.
Precautions:
 Monitor blood urea and serum creatinine in patients with severe renal insufficiency;
serum creatinine above 3 mg/ml is critical.
Warnings:
 Safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding is not well established—avoid use to be safe.
 Avoid overdose.
 Use cautiously if liver enzymes are elevated.
