How It Works:
 Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium Hydroxide act as antacids that neutralize
stomach acid.
 Oxethazaine is a potent local anaesthetic that relieves pain by numbing the stomach
lining.
 This combination provides both acid neutralization and symptomatic relief from gastric
pain and discomfort.
Usage and Safety
Dosage:
As directed by the physician. Generally taken 15 minutes before meals and at bedtime.
Side Effects:
 Common:
o Magnesium may cause diarrhoea
o Aluminium may cause constipation
o Usually, these effects balance out
 Uncommon/Rare:
o Skin rash, itching, hives
o Inflammation of the tongue
o Drowsiness, dizziness, faintness (at doses >60ml/day)
o Allergic reactions
o Collapse (extremely rare)
Drug Interactions:
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before use, especially if you are taking other oral
medications, as antacids can affect drug absorption.
Indication:
For temporary relief from symptoms related to:
 Indigestion
 Heartburn
 Peptic ulcers
 Gastritis
 Hiatus hernia
 Esophagitis
When Not to Use:
 Known hypersensitivity to any ingredient
 Patients who are severely debilitated
 Renal failure or impaired kidney function
Precautions:
 Use with caution in young children, especially those with renal impairment or
dehydration
 Shake the bottle before use
 Do not dilute; may follow with a sip of water if needed
Warnings:
1. Contains methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218) and propyl parahydroxybenzoate (E
216) – may cause allergic reactions, possibly delayed.
2. Do not exceed recommended dose.
3. Should not be taken simultaneously with other medicines — keep a gap of at least 2
hours between doses.
