⚙️ How It Works:
Secnidazole is a 5-nitroimidazole antimicrobial.
It enters bacterial cells as an inactive prodrug. Inside the cell, bacterial enzymes reduce the
nitro group, forming radical anions that disrupt DNA synthesis, thereby killing or inhibiting
the bacteria.
